TUTORIAL: SMOKEY EYES.

I've decided to do a tutorial, I don't know why, this can only go wrong.
I wanted to wear smokey eye make up to  a New Years Eve party earlier this month but I'd never done it before and I wasn't very good. I tried doing it for like 3 days but it just looked like I was trying to dress like a panda.. What really helped me was YouTube tutorial videos but the thing with tutorials is that they're made by people who are a lot better at doing their make up then I am. They're either to complicated for me to even fathom how to do or they just look to extravagant to wear if your only going for a Starbucks, which I am, all of the time. ....
So in the end I decided I'd do the most plain and simple, easy to understand tutorial you could possibly make. These smokey eyes take about 10 minutes when you get used to doing them, it can take longer at first but it gets quicker as you go along and they are perfect either just going out with the girls or even a simple look if you're going to a party, enjoy!!

Step 1) A lot of people use a primer before putting on any eye make up but frankly,Aint nobody got time fo that! I just put my foundation on and then add eye make up on top...
After doing my foundation I put a thin layer of white, or your lightest eye shadow on, making sure you really apply it to the inner corner. This will give the impression that you have wide eyes and is great in the morning If you look really tired, which I always do!
White base coat.

Step 2) After you apply the white shadow, next use a layer of brown, If you dont like brown eye shadow then the next best colour is grey. To get a good smokey eye/cat eye effect put the brown shadow in the crease of your eye, dont cover the whole crease, start from the outside and stop when you get to above the pupil. You can blend the white and brown as much as you like or if you want really sharp cat eyes add more brown to the crease and work your way up towards the eyebrow until your happy with the result.

Step 3) To make a statement use black eye shadow to line the eyes going from the out side of the eye to just above the pupil. You might not want to line the bottom of your eye but I think it makes my eyes stand out.

Apply brown to the crease of
your eyelid.

After applying Brown shadow.
Step 4) The black eye shadow does a really good gob of highlighting your eyes and is great if your going out with the girls but if you're going to a party its great to use eyeliner on top of that. Firstly, use pencil eyeliner to do the bottom of the eye, again if you dont want to line the bottom of your eye then just leave this part out. Then use a liquid eyeliner to line the eyelid, if your just going for a Starbucks then I would use a thin line from above the pupil outwards and stop at the corner of the eye,but if your dressing to impress then I'd use a thick line and flicks.

Step 5) Finally to complete your simple smokey eyes look, MASCARA!
I normally use two mascaras but obviously you can use as many as you like. There's not really much I can say about mascara as its so easy to apply and when it comes to mascara you're going to know which one suits you best.

The smokey eye effect is so simple and you dont even need a lot of products, this is a list of the ones I used but you can use any similar products and they should still have the same outcome.

COLOUR ME GEORGIA!

Because my 'Get to know me tag' went well before I decided to do another similar post but instead of writing it using the alphabet, I thought I'd do it using various colours. I'm not even 100% sure how this is going to work yet, so here goes!

RED- Taylor Swift RED is one of my favourite album ever, I mentioned this in my other 'Get to know me tag'. Its literally one of the only albums I can listen to over and over again without skipping a single song. If you haven't listened to it yet, what the hell have you been doing!!! GO AND LISTEN TO IT!!!
Tay Tay Swift.

YELLOW- My favourite colour is YELLOW and its also the colour of my umbrella, im trying not to mention the umbrella that much in my posts anymore because I think I sound a bit obsessed but I absolutely love it. YELLOW always reminds me of How I Met Your Mother, another topic im trying to avoid talking about to much but lets face it, I don't think im going to get over that one.
HIMYM

ORANGE- Ed Sheeran is my favourite singer/songwriter of all time, I think he's absolutely amazing! You seriously cant get any better than Ed Sheeran. His album + is just so good and I cant wait for the next one coming out hopefully sometime this year.
+

GREEN- My best friend Katrina's favourite colour is GREEN and the colour always reminds me of her, I cant think of anything good that relates with GREEN but she loves it! The only good thing I can think of to do with GREEN is Shrek, I can literally recite this film its one of my favourites, its so funny! 'YOU NEED SOME TIC TACS BECAUSE YO BREATH STINKS!!'- Donkey
Shrek!

BLUE- BLUE always reminds me of Summer and School- one extreme to the other. I always think of clear water and skys when I think of BLUE, Summer is my favourite time of year other than Christmas, I love looking up and seeing no clouds in the sky. My school uniform is BLUE, its horrible, my old school had a really nice black uniform but now I have to wear a light BLUE polo and a royal BLUE jumper on top, ew ew ew.
Clear,sunny sky.

PURPLE- I have had loads of colours in my hair, at one point I had an orange dip dye but that's only because the pink had faded. My school is really strict about uniform and were only meant to have natural colours but at the moment mines all PURPLE and I dont plan on changing it anytime soon.
My hair isnt as dark as Katy Perry's but this is what I want it like

BLACK- My favourite part of my make up is my BLACK eyeliner, I love to try out all different kind of styles and I think being able to do equal eyeliner is an art. Im not too bad at doing my eyeliner but one eye is never quite the same as the other. Im so jealous of Nina Nesbitt because her eyeliner always seems to look perfect.

Nina Nesbitt- Like seriously how is that eyeliner even possible!?
GOLD- Something I dont have but wish I did is GOLD. I rarely wear gold jewellry and I actually prefer silver but imagine just having a bar of GOLD and just spending it on everything #firstworldproblems

Dont worry,I'm not leaving Phil out, If this goes well I'll do a Phil Lester appreciation and probably a load more of other people that I am in love with..It could take a while.....

ROOMSPIRATION .

If you've read my 'Photographs&Preservation' post you'll know that I like to keep things and find creative ways to keep them looking nice. I have so many of these little things in my room so I thought I'd share my ideas with you so you can use them or adapt them to fit your own room. Here goes!

CRAYON ART
Many of you have probably seen tutorials for this on Youtube but If not, Crayon art is basically where you melt different coloured crayons onto a canvas to make a rainbow pattern. I saw this on intsagram and then did some research on Youtube to find out what methods work best. Many of the tutorials use a hot glue gun to stick the crayons to a canvas and then melt with a hairdryer but me being me and having extremely bad luck I couldn't find a canvas anywhere and the hot glue gun I bought didn't work- thanks ebay.. So instead I used a Plastic clip frame, which is a cardboard back with a layer of plastic clipped on to it, its used to make photo collages without a chunky frame and now to make crayon art, and instead of using a glue gun I used tea lights to melt the crayons a little bit and quickly stick the melty bit down before it dries, this was hard to do and awkward so I would recommend using a hot glue gun like a normal person.. After this I stuck the crayons to a piece of cardboard above the frame and melted the crayon onto the plastic so your'e left with a sheet of colourful plastic and then turned it over and clipped onto the rest of the board CRAYON FACE DOWN! I know this sounds really weird so I'd probably just Google it or find a tutorial if I were you, but heres when mine looked like anyway.:)
Final Result. Its dark because I left it till like 7 to take the pictures..
Image coming soon
Clip Photo Frame- Asda £3.50.

X4 24 Crayola Crayons- Asda 97p each.
POSTERS.
Obviously I'm not going to tell you how to put up a poster because your'e not completely stupid,probably... I have about 7 posters up in my room at the moment but 3 have fallen down because my Blutack has gotten too old,If anyone knows of a longer lasting way to stick up posters please comment!! Posters are a great way to show people what stuff your'e into, its like *Walks In*''oh so you like ed sheeran?'' I have a couple of large posters up in my room now but I used to have about 100 small posters from shops and magazines that completely covered my wall, which is great if you have loads of things your'e interested in or you want t o make a shrine of just one person,*cough*Edsheeran.....
All of these posters were £3.99 in HMV or 3 for £10.

PHOTOS.
I've already done a photos post with ideas of how to keep all your photo memories creative so I'll just show you how I've put them in my room. I have used photos of me and my friends&family to create a  heart of photos and also a photo border, you could either put the border on one wall like I have because I have the New York skyline on my wall or you could make a border all the way round, this could take alot of photos though, depending on the size of your room obviously. I printed all my photos out on Snapfish.co.uk , I used a voucher so I had 50 free photos and only had for p&p which was great! 50 photos only cost £4.50 which is alot cheaper than the supermarkets where I live and you get the first 20 free anyway!

MAKE UP.
I spent ages cleaning my room yesterday because it was like a pig sty, I noticed that I had nowhere to put my make-up. Im thinking about getting a small wicker basket and keeping it all like Easter eggs but for now I had to improvise. For Christmas 2012 I got Lady Gaga's 'The Fame' perfume which is sooo nice, I wore it everyday but now its run out:( The perfume came in a slidey box with a shower gel, instead of throwing the box out I thought it would be good to keep things in and now it holds my make up! You could use any kind of box for this, e.g a Shoebox - I would cover it in wrapping paper to make it brighter and because I clearly have no social life.

OUTSIDE.( yes that is a pair of flamingo glasses, thats a whole other post)

INSIDE.

 CUSHION COLLECTION.
So, I decided that I want a cushion collection.. I don't even know why, I just like the idea of having loads of funky cushions everywhere. So far I have 3 on my bed, I had 2 more but I've lost them, I don't know how, I just have. Also,FUNFACT: I have a cushion filled with badges and pins I used to collect when I was little, I was a weird child...

Cushion collection, so far its not very big..

My mum got me an owl for Christmas, she thinks im weird too...
Mushroom, I bought this when I was out with a friend. The back of it doesnt have the red or the spots and it was only half way home that I realised it looked like I was carrying a cushion in the shape of a Penis....

CANDLES.
I love candles, I think they set a really calming mood and I love having them im my room If I need to relax. Its best to light them just after you've had a bath, you can sit down with some chocolate cake and watch TV while the candles are burning. The bad thing about candles is that alot of them, especially the lovely Yankee Candles have cinnamon scents in them, you may like cinnamon but I hate it,HATE IT!

This is my favourite candle at the moment, I dont know how
but It changes colour when you light it!

Also it was really cheap, I think it was £2.99
from Poundstretcher..

 PRESERVATION.
I said about keeping little memories in my Photographs&Preservation post a couple of weeks ago and one of the ways I talked about was sticking things like tags, tickets, receipts and photos to your wall. I've been doing these little collages for about 3 years now and I love it because its so easy to change whenever you take new photos or go new places.

last year, im so childish..

FLOWERS.
Flowers are a great way to brighten up your room and bring nature to you<that sounds cheesy. They're a great way to remind you about summer and also are a great reminder that Spring is just around the corner. HOWEVER, if you have Hay fever like I do, waking up to flowers by your window aren't the best thing, and that's why I use plastic ones, yay, genius! I couldn't find anything to put them in so I just put them in an old hair heat protector spray bottle.

BITS AND BOBS.
Ive always got random things floating around and nowhere to put them, I always end up losing things so I thought I needed a good place to put them. My best friend Trina made me a memory jar for one of my Birthdays which basically is a jar full of little pieces of paper with memory references-its really cute. Anyway, that got me thinking and now I keep all the stuff I have floating around in plastic and glass jars. In one of them I've put a load of fabric flowers from a Hula outfit and then put a load of jewelry on top of that, and then In another one I have a load of my favourite Nail polishes- mostly from elf.
Hula flowers and old bracelets.
